Education in Oman in the past relied heavily on traditional methods such as the kuttabs (Quranic schools) and mosque circles, where children learned the Quran, religious sciences, and Arabic language. This continued until the establishment of the Sultani School in Muscat in 1930, which marked the beginning of modern education in the country. With the rise of Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may Allah have mercy on him – a great educational renaissance took place, paving the way for the founding of Tabarak Private School in 1986 under the leadership of Sheikh Merhoon bin Hamad Al-Rahbi. The school continued to grow and develop under the leadership of Dr. Younis bin Merhoon Al-Rahbi, who introduced digital education and transformed the school to meet the challenges of the modern age, making the dream of the ancestors a symbol of distinguished education in Oman.
